West Quoddy Head Light Stained Glass Window Panel For Sale


This West Quoddy Head Light stained glass window panel is handmade in the USA. This
lighthouse is the most northern lighthouse in the USA, it is one of  only two lights that have red
and white stripes.
A lighthouse at West Passamaquoddy Head, Maine, was authorized by
Congress in 1806 and the light station was finished on April 21, 1808, at a cost of $5,000, t
he
current tower was built in 1858. The tower is 49 feet in height with the beacon at 83 feet above
sea level. The light, magnified by a third-order Fresnel lens, has a range of 18 miles. The tower
is built of brick and painted in alternating horizontal red and white stripes.
